Ten years at the kitchen table.
TJANE started as one woman's answer to skin that reacted to everything on the shelf. It became the thing her neighbours kept asking for.

It started with sensitive skin and a full bin.
A mum of four, an Irish kitchen, and a shelf of products that stung, stripped or smelled like a candle. Rather than keep buying, she started reading labels, then started blending — a few drops of rosehip here, a little jojoba there, testing every batch on herself first.
The early attempts were forgettable. The later ones weren't. Skin started to feel softer. Hair had more shine. And friends who came round for tea began leaving with a small bottle.
Then the neighbours came knocking.
For ten years the recipes lived in notebooks and mason jars. Bottles were handed over garden fences, sent to school in kids' bags, and posted to cousins abroad. Nothing was sold. Nobody was asked to review anything.
Which is why the feedback meant something. When the same blends kept being requested, we knew which ones deserved a proper label.

What we won't change.
The things that made the kitchen versions good are the things we've kept.
Nothing hidden
Every ingredient is on the front of the bottle, not buried on the back. If you can't pronounce it, it isn't in there.
Small batches, by hand
Blended in quantities we can actually check. Every batch is tested before it's bottled and dated when it is.
Honest expectations
Plant oils are gentle and gradual. We'll always tell you what to expect and when, rather than promise a miracle.
I never meant to start a brand. I just wanted my skin to stop hurting, and then I couldn't stop giving the bottles away. The founder
